Southbourne Accountancy Ltd now trades as the financial coaching practice of Debbie Bailey. The work is financial strategy for business owners: cashflow forecasting, pricing, and the confidence to actually look at the numbers, delivered as coaching rather than compliance. She is explicit that she does not prepare accounts or file tax returns, so this does not replace your accountant. It sits alongside one.

Who she works with

Mostly women running established service businesses, with a strong showing from fitness, wellness and sport. The main programme, The Real Plan, runs for a minimum of three months and covers strategy documents, cashflow forecasts and pricing models, listed on her site at £1,500 a month at the time of writing. There is also a podcast, Get Financially FIT, and speaking work.

Is it for you?

Useful if you know the club is busy but could not say whether it is profitable, or if your prices have not moved in three years because nobody wanted the conversation. Less useful if what you actually need is bookkeeping, VAT returns or payroll. For that, you want a practising accountant, and she will tell you the same.
