A gym for non-gym people
Studio35 was built for people who hate gyms, or who’ve had a long break from exercise. Members work through a 35-minute circuit on medical-grade equipment. There are no mirrors and no egos, and there’s always a coach on the gym floor.
The concept worked. Since it started franchising, Studio35 has opened six franchise clubs plus another of its own. That makes eight clubs in total, all running on ClubRight.
Chosen on day one, still running it eight years on
Studio35 has used ClubRight since its first club opened. The team wanted software built for fitness that would cover everything a new club needs. Above all they needed a good diary, because show-rounds and inductions are how new members join.
“We chose ClubRight because it’s industry specific. It was designed for the fitness industry, and we wanted something that was going to meet all of our needs as a brand new club starting out.”— Luke, Director, Studio35
Getting started came with plenty of help. ClubRight’s team ran Zoom calls to talk them through every feature while they were finding their feet as a new gym. As the business grew, they moved up to the Complete plan to use the sales funnel and automated messages.
Opening club number eight without starting from scratch
When a franchisee opens a new Studio35, ClubRight copies the setup from an existing club across to the new one, so nothing has to be rebuilt by hand. From head office, Luke checks how every club is doing from the owner dashboard.
“We don’t need to set up everything every time we open a new club. There’s also the owner dashboard that we can use as a franchisor to quickly dip into each club, see how they’re doing, run reports.”— Luke, Director, Studio35
From flagged emails to a sales funnel
Briony, a manager at Studio35, used to track enquiries by flagging emails. Now every show-round and induction goes in the diary and every enquiry goes through the sales funnel, so she can see where each lead stands and follow up months later.
“I can track from call one to someone signing up, or whether they don’t get in contact again. I can contact them in 6 months, 12 months’ time.”— Briony, Manager, Studio35
ClubRight was the first club software Briony had used in any job, and she says she’s not very good with technology. Even so, she learned it by clicking through it herself.
“It’s really user friendly. I think anyone can use it. You can navigate it yourself without having someone else explain it to you.”— Briony, Manager, Studio35
