A presale with no system behind it
Back in 2017, FTC was in the early stages of being built. John and the team wanted to launch with a presale — paying customers using the gym from opening day. But storing prospect information and communicating effectively with everyone on the presale list was proving difficult. They needed the right provider to help sell memberships online before the doors even opened.
They were cautious about choosing the wrong supplier and being forced to find a new system a few months in.
Why FTC chose ClubRight
ClubRight was the first system they looked at. John already knew ClubRight’s founder from being in the fitness industry. After an online demo, they were blown away by how simple the software was to use.
“Despite ClubRight being a relatively new system at the time, they put our minds at ease. The fact that it was run by people that had worked in the fitness industry themselves was comforting — four and a half years later, we’re so pleased we decided to get started.”— John Grindrod, FTC
A system that evolved with the business
ClubRight has grown alongside FTC as the gym established itself and expanded. The software is regularly updated with new features, and John can tell the tech team behind ClubRight are always thinking of ways to make life easier for gym owners.
FTC now collects member data securely, creates and sells membership plans in minutes, sets up automated tasks for staff, and runs everything through integrated payments with GoCardless, Xero and Stripe — all under one roof.
“The Member App is fantastic because it makes the lives of our customers easier too — they can scan their QR code on entry, so they don’t need to worry about bringing a key card or a key fob with them.”— John Grindrod, FTC
ClubRight’s knowledge base and resources mean FTC always gets the most out of the system, and the support team is the first port of call for any questions.
“Simply put, ClubRight is a tried and trusted system by us and many other clubs. The simplicity of the software combined with the App and the endless integrations with payment systems makes it hard to beat — not to mention it’s extremely good value for money.”— John Grindrod, FTC
After more than seven years, John dreads to think what running the gym would be like without ClubRight.
