How it works

Recurring and one-off card payments collected through Stripe flow back into ClubRight automatically, so income split by type — cash, card, Direct Debit — stays reconciled without manual updates.

About Stripe

Stripe is a global online payments platform used by millions of businesses to take card and other online payments. Card processing is charged as a percentage of each transaction plus a small fixed fee.

Card payments, on the desk and online

Stripe handles card payments. For a club that covers everything Direct Debit is not right for: a day pass, a block of ten sessions, kit and merchandise, a course paid up front, or a member abroad who cannot set up a UK mandate. Cards taken through Stripe show against the member record in ClubRight, so you are not reconciling a separate payment report against your member list at the end of the month.

How it sits alongside ClubRight Pay

ClubRight Pay is our own UK payment offering and covers Direct Debit and cards for most UK clubs. Stripe is fully supported and makes sense if you already run on it and would rather not move, if you take payments in currencies beyond sterling, or if you operate outside the UK. Neither rules the other out. Plenty of clubs collect the monthly membership one way and one-off sales another.

The reliability question

Stripe is used by very small businesses and very large ones, including around half of the Fortune 100, and supports over 135 currencies and payment methods. For your purposes that mostly means the payment page works, the card gets accepted and the money arrives. Check Stripe's current UK pricing for per-transaction rates, since these vary by card type and change from time to time.

How it connects with ClubRight

Card payments taken through Stripe reconcile automatically inside ClubRight, sitting alongside your Direct Debits and till takings in one set of numbers.

FAQ

Stripe and ClubRight

Does Stripe integrate with ClubRight?
Yes. Card payments taken through Stripe reconcile automatically inside ClubRight, sitting alongside your Direct Debits and till takings in one set of numbers.
What does Stripe do?
Online card payment processing.
Do I have to use Stripe to use ClubRight?
No. Nothing in the ClubRight Connect directory is a requirement and nothing is tied to your account. Use your own supplier if you already have one — the directory exists to save you the research, not to steer you.
Does ClubRight charge extra for this?
No — ClubRight doesn’t add a fee for a partner being listed or connected. Whatever Stripe charges for their own product is between you and them. Nobody pays to appear in this directory.
