About Anvil Gym

Anvil Gym is based in Southport, just outside of Liverpool. The gym has been in business for 40+ years before Me (Liam) and my brother Ethan took over back in 2022. We are approximately 4,000 sq ft in size operating on two different floors, offering old-school gym equipment with a modern, unique and new vibe which makes the gym really special. We cater to all ages, so whether you’re young, middle-aged or elderly, there’s something for everyone!

Our old gym software was expensive and confusing.

Running the club before ClubRight was tricky, expensive and unnecessarily confusing for absolutely no reason. Our previous supplier was GloFox and once we signed up, they offered us no support, no onboarding process and only offered probably a quarter of the functionality that ClubRight has.

Our previous software made it very hard for us to stay up to date with members, contact them and let us customise our membership packages – all very basic things to ask for from a gym software system. We wanted software that would let us do all of this quickly and easily because no gym owner wants to spend all of their time sitting behind a computer, we wanted to be out on the gym floor supporting our members.

Why we chose ClubRight.

There were so many problems we wanted to solve when we decided to move on from GloFox. ClubRight stood out from the other solutions because it has so much depth and detail in its reporting and there are so many customisation options available; we were even able to customise the dashboard to see whatever key metrics we wanted when we logged in.

That said, we were worried about the data transfer because of the mass amount of details we had to carry over. The thought of losing members’ details and other important information we use day to day made us nervous, but turns out there was never a need to worry.

Our favourite features in ClubRight have to be the message automation, sales funnel and the till. The fact that we can move prospects through the journey from registering their interest to signing them up is so powerful for our business.

We’re gaining more traffic through our website because the sign-up process is so simple. We’re generating a lot more prospects through our website and we can get useful details from them: name, contact information and they can even complete their ParQ ahead of time before they come down to the gym.

ClubRight also helps us stay in contact with our members and keep them engaged, either on an ad-hoc one-on-one basis or at regular times through automated emails, texts or push notifications. There’s even a full audit trail for every member so that our team has visibility over past communications. 

Besides the system itself, we love how easy it is to contact someone on the ClubRight Team. They’re always on hand to give us some reassurance if we have any questions. We feel confident having solid software in place that our business can grow into.
