So, here are the most common questions we get when we onboard a new user. If you’re in the market for a new gym software, this will help give you some clarity.
How easy is the software to use?
We can’t speak for every gym software out there, but ClubRight has won multiple awards for the software’s ease of use. Our users often tell us that even those that aren’t tech-savvy can get to grips with the system easily.
Do I have to offer Direct Debits to use ClubRight?
Nope! Since we only supply the software, you can choose what method of payments you’d like to accept in your business. Some of our users even have a mixture of card, Direct Debit and cash-paying customers. While there are huge benefits to Direct Debits (things like Online Joining, being able to build a recurring income etc.), it’s not a problem if your customers prefer to pay by cash.
How soon can I start using the software?
You can start using ClubRight as soon as your account has been created. We offer online setup sessions to help you take advantage of the relevant features, but even if you’re waiting on certain other parts of the jigsaw to fall into place (i.e. data transfer), you can start using ClubRight right away.
I already have access control in place, would it work with your software?
Potentially! We work with the industry-standard controllers, but we’d need to know what access control you use and the provider you work with. You can get the full details on which access control we support here. We also work with industry-leading access control partners that can assist with any questions you might have.
What about all my notes on each customer that are held on my current system?
If your existing provider can supply them in the data import process, we can upload it as one block of information which will sit in their customer record in the software.
What about GDPR?
When your customers register to use the ClubRight App, they’ll be able to manage their contact preferences. You can also update them from your side, but giving the customer control allows you to reduce your administration and empower them to take control of the communications they want to receive.

Will someone walk me through how to set up the system?
Absolutely. We provide you with early access to your account initially so that you can familiarise yourself with the software, then we’ll invite you to a one-on-one virtual session to show you how to set up each area of the system and share our support resources with you – including access to our knowledge base which contains guides, walkthroughs and tutorials on how to get the most out of ClubRight.
Is there anyone available to check that I’ve set up the system correctly?
Of course! Once you have completed the Getting Started session, we’ll invite you to a one-on-one review session with our onboarding experts to make sure that everything is operating as it should and answer any questions you might have after using the system.
What do you offer ongoing support? What is that like?
All of our users have access to the Orange Circle, in which you can chat to our Help Desk Team about any questions you might have. As mentioned, we also have a knowledge base complete with guides, walkthroughs and tutorials on how to get the most out of ClubRight and frequently asked questions.

What is the stability of the system like? Do you do a lot of maintenance or experience a lot of outages?
We’re very transparent about our system status and we’ll always let you know ahead of any planned system maintenance, although this is usually conducted outside of operational hours to minimise disruption. Like any software, there are (very rarely) times when the system may be unavailable for a moment, but this is often down to issues beyond our control (think power outages, nationwide bandwidth issues etc). ClubRight is continuously monitored, even outside of operational hours.
If the system is not performing as it’s expected to – running slow, pages aren’t loading etc – we’d recommend checking your internet connection and hardware. You can view ClubRight’s system status at any time here.
Can I speak to other club owners that use ClubRight if I need any help or tips?
Yes! We recently introduced the ClubRight Community, a private Facebook group for all users of the ClubRight software. It’s proven to be extremely helpful for users new and old.
